Thanks you for getting in touch and for sending me the link, which I have looked at.
It's very worrying if there is disability discrimination towards housing tenants. I was also shocked to see the comments about losing playgrounds because the authorities find park benches easier to maintain!

I received a letter from Michael Foster today, who now he is no longer our MP received a reply from Jane Porter of Amicus Horizon who seems to want to ignore issues of unfairly collected rent - repairs - discrimination - deceit - damage - building regulations - harassment - Deliberate Mismanagement and bullying, she seems to feel as if she is on safer ground if she sticks to adaptation assessments but as with everyone else at Amicus Horizon she appears to be complely ignorant of how to interpret the DED and assumes that someone else is doing the job that she as Managing Director is supposed to be doing. Adult Social Care has already agreed on tape that "they missed us" and that we should have had adaptations years ago. Also on tape:Ron Grimmer, Darren Goodsell and John Head state that Debbie will be visiting within the next week, or next day in one case, but Debbie has never phoned and has never turned up. The only time Debbie has ever been here is to arrange for bannisters. Ron Grimmer was the latest recorded in the garden on his last fake visit he states very loudly "Debbie will phone you at 2 to 2.30 this afternoon, but of course she did`nt.
Jane Porter states that they are going to continue to assist me to find alternative accommodation, as they have deliberately and without my knowledge removed me from the transfer lists on several occasions you will understand why I detest policies and lies that are designed, or misused solely to hurt people, and there seems to be an abundance of them at Amicus Horizon.
I would like to ask Jane Porter a couple of questions: Dear Ms porter following your recent experiences with your property at Beckley. Are supporting walls important? Do we really need them downstairs? should supporting walls be replaced or filled with plasterboard?.
Adaptations first requested November 2005.
Repairs to steps and pathways first requested November 2005.
Cracks to outside supporting walls. First requested November 2005.
Amicus Horizons refusal to carry out a simple £80 repair has cost us thousands of pounds and immeasureable pain, does your company ever abide by its charter - the DED - Disability discrimination Act - Housing Act - Ombudsmans Guidelines - Is your company really running on a day to day, play it by ear basis?
I like Mr Foster he is a very nice man but he did not protect us, he never stood up to Amicus Horizon. Hastings council East Sussex Council are the same, they just do as they are told by a company that plays it by ear. Sad!

Thank you Marisha. If you had visited this site a few years ago you would have been amazed at the difference, it was called Churchillunited back then and we had 84 local members, there were kids pages, jokes pages, pets pages etc but then our dishonest landlord Amicus Horizon decided to con us and they literally stole the kids football funding, they lied and cheated dreadfully about play areas and support and then finally they waited until the local children aged 5 and up were at a community meeting at the Bridge community centre in Halton and then they ordered it closed, about 30 children were left alone aged 5 upwards, no parents, no guardians, no social workers, just abandoned in the roughest area you could imagine, we would never trust them with our children again. I can say the things that I do because I can prove it. In this case I already did to our landlords dissatisfaction.

Because we have to send an up to date file to the EHRC for referment that just about takes care of the week because there is a lot of printing and copying to do, but where we are putting this file together the growing list of the recorded broken promises is staggering, and I will post a copy of this list. We now have the added worry of the supporting walls in our home, I would like to see a random sample of Amicus Horizon homes properly surveyed to see just how safe they are.
While I am at it, I am making a second copy to send to David Cameron`s office, and we managed to buy the upgrade yesterday so we can start putting sound files up on this site.

Graeme Morgan people with disabilities liaison officer will be a good start?after the ordeal i have had in the past year with repairs and maintenance,this is all stress related,no one turning up dodgy repairs,where disabled people get lost in paperwork and forgotten.as a husband of a lady with epilepsy and a father of a son with autism.

I was just going to leave the comments until we had finished our EHRC file but I had to put this one up. Thanks Mark for the suggestion, there might be a slight conflict of interest there lol. Amicus Horizons first rule is loyalty to the company, pobably properties comes next, tenants disabled or not are judging from previous encounters very low down the list.

very powerful. a shocking but not surprising view on the substandard works that housing contractors increasingly perform.Somepeople think its a con. If you get it wrong first time, or leave work unfinished then you get called out to do the work again and so get paid twice instead just the once.Also shows a) a lack of pride in the contractors work and b) a lack of monitoring on the part of the housing association if they haven't monitored the work

Having got nowhere at all with my requests to my landlord Amicus Horizon to do much needed repairs to our home and because they are laughing at me having to pay private companies to do maintenance work and repairs that my tenancy agreement states they are liable for I have decided to begin publishing recordings of some of their visits on this and all of our other sites. We are calling this section The Liars Section because that describes them perfectly. I have started with the last visit from Ron Grimmer Amicus Horizon Surveyor because it is the tape that I think is least important so if I damage the file with this first upload I will still have the main ones that I want to use in court.
Here is Ron trying to persuade me that the Fans installed by Booker and Best have humidity sensors inside them that pick up moisture in the air and because of this state of the art technology no on/off switches are needed. The manufacturers thought Mr Grimmers explanation was hilarious and Booker and Best were amazed, which is disturbing as it was Booker and Best who forgot the on/off switch.
If this goes up on the site okay it will be quickly followed by recordings of the other liars:Darren Goodsell-John Head-Steve Madell - Booker and Best.
I will upgrade this site on friday so that I have more webspace and then I will be able to put up larger chunks.

I really believe that if the con-tractors get it wrong the first time or leave work unfinished, they shoul take responsabilty for this-certainly not be proud of this- and be called out to do/finish their job properly, without getting paid.Sometimes, because of this, they are coming back not only twice, but as in my case of poor Housing....for even... See more years, and still not getting it right. Who is monitoring this, I wonder????Marisha =^.^=...and all this so many times putting Tenants at risk-as clearly in this Video-and so many times, as in my own experience, lacking complete Respect towards the Tenants.

We do try to laugh about our problems and look on the bright side of life but as you can see from the very clear evidence on this site our failing landlord makes our lives very difficult and our families have to suffer hardship that we can do nothing about and even more important is that many of the defects caused by, or acceptable to our landlord are extremely dangerous to our children: Water constantly dripping from electrical fittings - the lack of supporting walls - dangerous doorways and door installations - mould growth - damp - water rising through the floor - broken joists - gas safety issues. The list seems almost endless and some of us have been trying to get repairs done since 2005! You can help by simply adding your name to our petition, it only takes a few seconds but it would improve the life of our families and might even save a serious injury or illness.
We only appeal to you because our landlord refuses to listen

Reminds me of when social services said they would install a lower light switch for my son, all they planned to do was put a trailing wire down the wall in spite of the fact that he would have got caught on it going in and out of the room. Had to send electrician away.

This reminds me so much of when I had done some work done on my house. It was part of a council group repair scheme and the Council's mentality is to employ the cheapest building companies possible (with obvious results). I have various health conditions (physical and mental) and so do many of my neighbours and we were left feeling that we wished... See more we hadn't had the work done in the first place as we were pretty much powerless to get anything done properly after the builders made such a mess. And there was also an issue of them having to re-employ the same company that did the work in the first place - arghhhh!!
