In common with the other "disabled" tenants we fell into dispute with our landlord Amicus Horizon housing association through no fault of our own. We felt picked on as if we were being singled out and bullied, because we were.
We did not react to threats or violence like some have been tricked into doing we followed what we were led to believe was the "correct procedure" we complained to Amicus Horizon customer services.
The ignorant abuse that we received from this company was annoying and distressful (as it was in all of the other cases for the other victims) so we carried on with the "correct procedure" and went through stage 2 and then stage 3 of the Amicus Horizon complaint procedure. The complaint procedure is fake, it is a poor excuse that is designed to protect a bad company and takes almost a year to complete but by the time you reach stage 3 most of your complaints have disappeared from the agenda, if you are lucky somewhere along this arduous path an Argos voucher will be offered but it is unlikely that any apologies will ever be offered.
So we continued with the "correct procedure" and went to the council only to find that their complaints procedure is exactly the same, tried and tested to tire out complainants, run them out of time etc a series of brick walls, the last one being the highest.
So we continued with the "correct procedure"
Not surprisingly the "correct procedure" takes about 6 years (most have found the same,

The reasons the list is near enough as set out above is because of how they all collaborate together to make things as impossible as they can and by recording meetings, phone calls and keeping all correspondence you can show that to be true.
If you stay the course it creates even more problems because your original complaint say for a leaky pipe has evolved into a massive dispute involving just about every authority (I prefer to call them departments because there is only one head of the above list exception being the higher courts and that is Amicus Horizon)
By this time you have such powerful opponents that you are constantly on the defensive as if you have committed an offence in complaining in the first place.
So the CEO of Amicus Horizon gets the chop closely followed by some junior staff who caused the upset in the first place, same goes for the council who after getting caught also committing criminal offences promise that they have changed the way that they do things (so thats okay then) but then the dodgy solicitor gets caught out because he was under the impression he could never be caught out and that causes complications that gets the Police Chief kicked out after it turns out he hates you and everyone else anyway, its a long hard road!
So by now you probably have ulcers a severe eye twitch, you`ve spent vast amounts of money and you have very serious claims against most of the above, worse than that you are convinced that they are all (barring the EHRC and shelter) a bunch of crooks and all for the sake of a repair that would have cost £80
So common sense kicks in and you contact Amicus Horizon (copy to your Member of Parliament) and you say "look Mr deane things have got seriously out of control and we are at the point where some of these recordings will have to be presented as evidence and that is going to bring ruin on some careers, so would you like to meet and try and resolve these issues and agree to leave each other alone and let things end?"
But! Mr deane being Amicus Horizon ignores your suggestion for weeks then rejects it out of hand, so you just sit around wondering if its all worth it until someone phones you up and says "Fuck you! we`ll never give in" so the summons actually gets issued and your back following the "correct procedure"
Except! by now you are calling for your Member of Parliament to be sacked because she is blatantly supporting a police officer who is obviously not very nice and she has also (you`re informed by Amicus Horizon) was not the reason you finally got your repairs even though she was happy to accept your sincere gratitude for having done so.
Its a dangerous world out there... Live with the leaky pipe!
