This weekend we heard that our roof was being re-laid, The very first time I told Amicus horizon about the state of our roof, was back at the six month inspection 5 years and six month ago, we had Mr Steven Stripp R.I.C.S. from Amicus Horizon at 16 Hobbs close, beckley,e. sussex. doing a 6 month inspection, during this inspection, I pointed out the poor state of our roof tiling and the poor lead work, Mr Steven Stripp R.I.C.S. said, that there were no faults with the tiling and nothing wrong with the lead work in fact it was to new E.U. Regulations, well at that point I told him that I know more about building houses than he appeared to and that I did not think that he was being truthful, he completed his inspection, and reported that only small settlement cracks were present as being normal, I did not agree, over the next 5 years we had so many inspections, we lost count, probably about 20, each time we were told that the roof was perfect and the same with the lead work, no work was needed. it took the director Ann sykes too visit and see for herself how bad our roof and leadwork was to agree that Steven Stripp R.I.C.S. and booker and best and about 10 other members of her staff had not been truthful about the state of our roof and lead work, Tonkin's were employed to tell both Amicus Horizon, and ourselves what the real truth was, and you can see from the report tonkin produced that my assessment was correct, our roof was not nailed on, it was out of line with roof of the adjoining property and, it was a danger to ourselves and our next door neighbour as the fire break at the party wall was not present. this was all very very stressful, after the report Amicus Horizon had a change at the top. In came Jane Porter, I had to call her and the first time she spoke to me I knew I had new problems, she bellowed down the phone. You have enough evidence we will not write to you about your house, and then she said you have a solicitor speak to them, then she put the phone down, you can imagine how I was feeling now, my landlord was refusing to talk to us about anything if we called we were told speak to harpers (our solicitors) we will not take your call, we had a face to face meeting with Jane Porter about our roof she sat across her desk and said that Amicus Horizon do not agree that there is anything wrong with the roof, well I exploded, and swore at her, how can you say that there is nothing wrong with our roof when we have this report in front of us, she said if you don't shut up I will call the police to have you removed from the building, I had to go and wait outside, Rachel remained and said to her don't you deal with robert like that you know he has Tourette`s syndrome, both rachel and I know that she was deliberately winding me up so as to support the injunction that was just around the corner, well we now know that that failed as no evidence was produced against me in court,the judge dismissed the 3 applications for sending me to prison, for nothing more than complaining about my house not being safe to live in. We have suffered dreadfully, I have been told that I would have never known that I had tourette`s syndrome if it was not for the discrimination I have suffered. that's why it did not go to court, how could it, the start of our case would have been telling the court that Amicus Horizon had put us in a RAT INFESTED HOUSE WITH NO HEATING AND ONLY COLD GREEN WATER, other then the main. We had to get the B.B.C. south east today news team in to film the state of our home before Amicus Horizon would agree to move us out into temporary accommodation, that had green water and no heating. Just a point it was the middle of winter. So from January to June we lived in Broad oak, then 16 Hobbs close came up, Jan lord from Amicus Horizon said this was a new start for us a new house with no problems, UNDERSTATEMENT I think now on reflection. we moved in and we had noting but harassment for the next five years.
It took more then 10 inspections to do anything, when you look at all the work we have had done we did not have one moment of peace and quiet, we were always waiting in for Booker and Best, or Amicus Horizon, in fact we had one week off when we went to Turkey for a weeks holiday, thanks to the care grant Rethink sorted out for us. other then that we have been arguing with Amicus Horizon on every little point (we have never lost a point yet to date.)just ask Sid babbage, nothing wrong with your drive ,in fact he said that he has taken so many calls from me about my drive that he is thinking of given in his notice (shame he never has) as you can see I was right and he was wrong. He said we have spent enough money on your home, I will not allow any more to be spent. Shame its not up to sid babbage, he has has about as much power in Amicus Horizon as the cleaners. and quite rightly so. so to make a point 1066ha you are not alone amicus horizon have treated us the same as you are being treated, in a discriminatory fashion that is supposed to be unlawful, we have the same problem with reporting this to the police, the police are supporting this type of behaviour from Amicus Horizon in sussex, I to hope that our local M.P. MR G.BARKER can sort out Amicus Horizon, we should get Amber and Greg to sit round a table with us both so they can hear first hand what life has been like for two disabled tenants at the hands of BAD AMICUS HORIZON. I am so unhappy I want better.
