A Disabled man led a protest in Hastings town centre on Monday against his landlords.
Graham Morgan, of Churchill Avenue, was joined by more than a dozen people as he walked to Queensbury House, the offices of Amicus Horizon housing association to voice his anger.
He collected more than 280 signatures from people on a petition and claimed that many other tenants in Hastings and the rest of the country were unhappy.
Mr Morgan, who leads a group called 1066 Housing Action and has a website at ---------------- said;"Repairs to my property were first reported five years ago and they (Amicus Horizon) will not let me have a stairlift.
I live in a four bedroom house but have no bathroom, just an outside toilet.
There are quite a few of us who are disabled who are having problems. My gas was turned off throughout the winter.
He said people from as far away as Sunderland and Gateshead joined in his march.
A spokesman for Amicus Horizon
said; "Mr Morgan has been a tenant of Amicus Horizon since November 2005 we are aware that he has a number of specific needs in relation to his property.
"Since 2006, Mr Morgan has had a series of complaints against the association. Throughout his tenancy we have acted in good faith Mr Morgan and his family. we are aware that he is registered with a number of social housing schemes that help residents move to a more suitable home.
"East Sussex County Council occupational therapy team has advised us that his home is not suitable for adaptation and supports a move to a suitable alternative home".
The spokesman said Mr morgan could have bid on nearly a hundred suitable properties but has chosen not to do so.
He added; "In the meantime, we have helped other members of his family to move".
"Mr Morgan refused an offer of mediation from someone qualified in this field.
"We are more than happy to work with any alternative qualified mediator.
"The protest on monday related to Mr Morgans transfer application and request for adaptations".
